The human experience is inextricably linked to the sensations of the mind and body. Through these external and internal senses we perceive our immediate environment, learn, form memories, exchange information, and engage in physical interaction. Each body of work explores how the manipulation of specific visual, aural, and tactile elements alter the perception of reality [in a localized sense]. All of these dimensional works require physical interaction in order to activate each piece. The activation requirements of each work capitalize on the viewer’s intuitive responses to the gallery space, i.e. walking around the gallery space, sitting or standing near the work, approaching or retreating from the work, or incorporating their smartphone into their experience of the work. By accentuating these behaviors, the viewers are intuitively drawn into conversation with the work
